Dr. Small has a broad range of expertise from chronic illness, including coping with and managing chronic lung disease and resultant disability, to health promotion and disease prevention.
Research Activities
Dr. Small’s main research activities have been in the areas of coping with and managing chronic lung disease, smoking prevention, and smoking cessation. Her research method expertise is qualitative, including generic qualitative analysis, grounded theory, and phenomenology.
