Sharanya Varatharajan

Sharanya is a second year PhD student in the Work and Health program in the School of Public Health and Health Systems (SPHHS) at the University of Waterloo. She is currently co-supervised by Dr. Ellen MacEachen and Dr. Philip Bigelow. Sharanya's doctoral thesis will focus on exploring how RTW coordinators provide services for injured temporary workers and what facilitators and barriers they experience in the process. Previously, Sharanya has worked as a research associate at the UOIT-CMCC Centre for Disability Rehabilitation and Prevention, where she conducted research on the management of soft tissue injuries after traffic collisions. She is also a lecturer for a fourth year undergraduate public health course at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).
